歌ってみた Album Review - Cu6ic Append + カワルミライ

I've been trying to download Cu6ic Append (which always ended up to be interrupted) and now I really enjoy the album! It consists of 6 tracks as usual, 3 of them are duet songs and the other 3 are short drama (I DO really hope I can understand Japanese orz"). So I only give reviews for the songs. I'll also add Choucho's カワルミライ, only 4 tracks thou and 2 of them are instrumental. Anyway, without further ado!

1. ダイキライ!(JoNYH, 里瀬葉)
Maybe I don't really like how JoNYH sounds in Cu6ic Shuffle but he sounds amazing here. And you'll also listen to Riseha's unexpected-hardcore-moe-voice~ Yeah, I also don't believe it's Riseha singing, featuring JoNYH. The opening instrumental doesn't take long time to drag you to Riseha's vocal. The beginning may sound "peaceful" but wait until you hear the chorus. It's placed in high tune and Riseha can keep her cuteness! Contrasted with JoNYH adult voice, they sound really good together. Also I read that Shirokuro produced this song. Wow, he's so multitalented o___o

2. 灯火 (早井音そ~ま, 山乃レジ)
Now this time, Reji tries to surprise you with her mature-female-voice. You won't remember that this Reji once sang the magic spell. Featuring So~ma whom sounds energetic and playful, Reji sounds like.. his mother? Lol. Another contrasted pairing, I'll say. Somehow I feel like this song brings us to the Edo era. Probably because in some lines Reji sings like in traditional Japanese songs (I forget the name of it orz" so forgetful). You'll find epic screamo from both of them at the same time. Like it's name--it's truly epic. There's some short narrations which I can't understand. Maybe I'll just let you know about it.

3. stopping on the way (しろゐくろ, A-M-U)
This song makes you remember of sport anime OP at the beginning. amu sounds cool~ So does Shirokuro. As usual, Shirokuro gives some rock sense with his voice and amu makes the song sounds fresh with his light voice. You'll hear nice drum plays during the song. The chorus is just amazing--yes, just amazing. Their voices match each other. Just, wow.

歌ってみた Album Review - First Contact (BONUS! 3 Cu6ic's Lyrics)

Somehow, I like the songs in Clenero's First Contact more than Second Impact. Well, everyone has different taste of music. Anyway, here comes.

1. Butterfly
Okay, the lyrics may sound.. erm.. not suitable for people below 18 (and I'm included) but if you ignore the lyrics, the song is kinda catchy. And you can also listen to nero's low toned voice (yesss... I LOVE it!). The song may be fast, but somehow after you listen to it for some times, you'll notice that the flowing isn't that fast. Well, I feel that. To say, this is my favorite song of whole album. And it's in track 1. How cute.

2. All Night
I haven't searched for the lyrics but if you take a look at the title, you may notice something .__. Contrasted with 'Butterfly', it's kinda jazzy without much difficult instrumental sounds. Yeah, it focuses on the vocals which are pressured with feelings and reaching high notes. Man, that's just awesome.

3. Moon
Hello? Is it just me or three of the first songs themed identically? Anyway, this song is slower than 'All Night', and the volume at the beginning is reeeeeally low (I must make the volume higher). This is a kind of song which you can wave your head from right to left slowly.

4. Summer Rain
My 2nd most favorite song. I started liking this song after I heard amu's version in his solo album, Mu (maybe I'll review it later). It's not really summery, more like focused on the rain theme itself. The harmonies kicking. This song isn't really fast but in some parts the lyrics overlap with the time (and that's my favorite part).

5. Gift
Can't say it's classical just because you'll hear piano plays along with the song. Another slow song with high notes in some parts. I'm not good at describing slow songs ;~; (I might not be good reviewing all kind of songs; but slow songs are worst). But I hear nero's manly (?) voice hear and fell in love ^///^

6. Change
Yay! Cheery song, at least! Before the chorus, there're some fast lyrics which you'll hear random people as back vocals (I don't really know, but they sound random). Two main words to describe this song; summer and playful. There're some 'Oyeah!' throughout the songs. That's just amazing.

歌ってみた Album Review - Crystal Box

To be honest, Choucho's Crystal Box is the first utattemita album I've ever downloaded. I don't really know at that time if many utaite also release albums and I don't even know who the heck is Choucho. But now I'm feeling no regret.

1. Silence
You'll first listen slow-flowing tunes and Choucho's soft voice. She doesn't sound if she got difficulties singing slow songs. Then you'll continue hearing drums in the songs in the middle of the song. After that, Choucho's going back to the slow parts. The interlude is kind of nice I'll say. I'm not really a fan of interlude because I like to wait for the vocals. But in this song it's enjoyable. The drums also nice, but I don't know in some parts I feel it's a bit off. All-in-all, in this song you'll hear Choucho's high toned voice. Kinda nice for a beginning song, isn't it?

2. エンプティBOX
This is a more easy-listening song from Choucho with her higher voice that the first song. It doesn't have drums and kinda slower. But I love the instrumental, mixed with Choucho's high and light voice. Sometimes you don't notice if the song already ends (well, I don't). The instrumental is kinda simple, just like that. So I think it shows Choucho's singing skills more. She doesn't fail, really.

3. Bitter&Sweet
This is my favorite song from the whole album. You'll get some country-song feelings at first (because there's.. a trumpet plays?). The it continues with Choucho's singing, followed by guitar plays until the end (except the interlude). The lyrics are kinda clear, even if you don't understand Japanese because the instrumental doesn't cover the vocal itself. The song isn't fast and I enjoy it.

Cleawota

Life is just not fair -__-" If only I know utattemita a little earlier! What on earth is happening?!

I happened to read a translation of Cleawota radio interview which was posted a year ago. It's about their 2nd anniversary as a couple duet pair. They're being asked some personal questions. And they looked really sweet.

So, why do I feel disappointed?

It should be their 3rd anniversary but because they don't do duets anymore.. Aw.. =A=" I think it's because clear is kinda busy with his albums (he was featured in some albums with various utaite, like NEM'S GARDEN, Point Five, and also in his newly single Dearest II). It's rare to see he posted videos. The last one is his Pianissimo I think (which he joins in the making). I saw all the comments are like, 'Welcome back clear!', 'Glad to see you here!'. Now, I think I won't see him doing duet with Wotamin anymore TT__TT Also, I saw a comment in the translation of the interview, s/he said like, 'If clear feels thankful for Wotamin because she mixed lots of his songs, he should features his duet with Wotamin!' I do agree, totally agree. He's being too busy with his new partner, Nero. I can't blame him because I also love Nero ^///^ But of course I miss Cleawota duet.

歌ってみた Album Review - HoneyWorks + COLOUR

Another review for 歌ってみた albums (anyway, the albums I reviewed aren't really new, I know). This time I'll give some words for HoneyWorks album. The only reason I downloaded it because there's Wotamin~ *A* Okay, okay. Here're the reviews;

1. 泣キ虫カレシ (Wataame ft. Inakamono)
This is the first time I heard voices of theirs. Wataame sounds really mature, so does Inakamono. But Inakamono's voice sometimes is difficult to listen because of his volume. Well, he doesn't really force his voice for the high note thou.

2. スキキライ (Limone-sensei ft. Kogeinu)
.. Two guys are singing this. Probably a little piece of heaven for fujoshi out there .__. Anyway, I'm clueless which one is Limone and Kogeinu. To be honest, I never listened to their voices (like Wataame and Inakamono). Well, in Suji Chigai as reference (Kogeinu ft. Faneru), I think Kogeinu takes Rin's part. The song sounds so playful. Yeah, sometimes you'll hear funny words (not the words that are funny, but the way they say them). They both sound like they sing freely, without any problems.

3. パジャマっ子☆ (Wotamin)
Yay for Wotamin! Her voice is really high here o__o It of course is difficult to reach Rin's high note. Wotamin must be really tired after singing with that note for minutes, yet her voice is still enjoyable \^o^/ To be specific, her voice is "weighty" as usual. Yep, pressure.

The last track you'll find in this album is.. more likely an interview. I don't understand Japanese, so I'll skip it.

歌ってみた Album Review - CU6iC + CU6iC Shuffle

Because I love 歌ってみた albums and I want to show how I love them but I can't share download links so I think I'll start by giving some failed reviews. Yeah, I'll just tell what I heard and what I feel. People have different opinions.. So don't kill me if you don't really agree with me ^^'

For the first start, I'll begin with CU6iC which drove me to loving 歌ってみた albums;

1. 焰~The sky is the limit (早井音そ~ま)
To be honest, I'm not really familiar with CU6iC singers, including So~ma. So my first impression for So~ma and for his voice singing this, he sounds energetic and.. playful? I don't really know how to express it in words but it feels like bright future is waiting for me :D (wait--does that sound too much?)

2. Repeat (しろゐくろ)
I know it's in English from the first time I listened to it. But Shiroikuro's English spelling sounds muffled. I do enjoy his rock voice (yeah! Go Shiroikuro!) but when I took a little look at Repeat lyrics, well.. You know? His spellings aren't really the same. Like, when he said, ".. I had many things to do.." I thought he's saying, ".. I has many shee shoo do.." But that's acceptable for me. He's first language isn't English anyway. I'll just keep rocking with his enjoyable voice.

3. magic spell (山乃レジ)
One word; MOE. She sounds so cute~ *A* I'm not sure everyone can defeat her cute voice. The song is also beautiful and easy-listening (at least for me..). I don't fully understand Japanese but I think the lyrics in the song suit her voice.
