For the first start, I'll begin with CU6iC which drove me to loving 歌ってみた albums;
1. 焰~The sky is the limit (早井音そ～ま)
To be honest, I'm not really familiar with CU6iC singers, including So~ma. So my first impression for So~ma and for his voice singing this, he sounds energetic and.. playful? I don't really know how to express it in words but it feels like bright future is waiting for me :D (wait--does that sound too much?)
2. Repeat (しろゐくろ)
I know it's in English from the first time I listened to it. But Shiroikuro's English spelling sounds muffled. I do enjoy his rock voice (yeah! Go Shiroikuro!) but when I took a little look at Repeat lyrics, well.. You know? His spellings aren't really the same. Like, when he said, ".. I had many things to do.." I thought he's saying, ".. I has many shee shoo do.." But that's acceptable for me. He's first language isn't English anyway. I'll just keep rocking with his enjoyable voice.
3. magic spell (山乃レジ)
One word; MOE. She sounds so cute~ *A* I'm not sure everyone can defeat her cute voice. The song is also beautiful and easy-listening (at least for me..). I don't fully understand Japanese but I think the lyrics in the song suit her voice.
4. Secret Dance (A-M-U)
amu~~ I love amu, and I do too with this song. amu sounds mature here with his low tone at first then continued with high tone. It has nice electric guitar plays that doesn't bother amu's voice. I think the genre is a bit rock, but not the hard one.
5. 銃爪 (JoNYH)
Breathy--yeah, that's my first impression hearing the song. Some of the lyrics also sound like whispers. The genre is rock, maybe that's why you'll hear JoNYH's.. erm.. growls? Yeah, it give some suitable effects for the song itself. You'll find a good guitar play here too. And in some parts of the interlude where you can hear guitar plays you can hear JoNYH whispering some words. I like that part personally. It gives "mysterious" effect.
6. le ciel (里瀬葉)
I have to admit--this is my favorite song from the whole album. I adore Riseha since the first time I heard her from Fate/Rebirth, featuring Dasoku and Pokota. I just love how Riseha sounds in this song. Her low voice is so amazing, and in some parts she sounds like almost crying. I can tell she put her feelings well while singing this. I think the song is about.. breaking up? I found "gomen ne" and "arigato". I'd really like to get the lyrics for this song~
Now for the CU6iC Shuffle~
1. 焰~The sky is the limit (JoNYH)
I'm sorry but I have to say this.. JoNYH doesn't sound best with this song. Like So~ma, he gives some pressure to his voice so it'll sound energetic but sometimes he did it in wrong parts. Also you'll hear his voice isn't really in the same volume. At the beginning part he came a bit late so you can clearly listen to the harmony. In short, he sounds like he's singing in karaoke.
2. Repeat (山乃レジ)
Wait--Reji singing this?! The song is totally a contrast with the song she sang before. But she manages to show her "other side" of her voice, and she did it. Maybe in magic spell she sounds like a little girl but this time, she transforms to a mature, rocking woman. Besides, I personally love this song--both Reji's and Shiroikuro's versions. About spelling, I think Reji's version is clearer. But of course, I still can't understand some parts. For Reji, it's also acceptable.
3. magic spell (里瀬葉)
Another surprise! magic spell sung by Riseha! Yes, she doesn't sound as moe as Reji but I still love Riseha's version of magic spell. It's like Riseha tries to say, "I know I don't have Reji's high voice, so why don't I sing this in my style--my own voice?" In other words, you'll hear Riseha's moe side in her low toned voice~ Same like in her le ciel, it's like I can imagine her face while she singing this. But she's a bit off-tuned in some parts, I have to say that. Still, for me she did a good job in covering Reji's magic spell.
4. Secret Dance (しろゐくろ)
Oh wow, another rock song from Shiroikuro! I think I like Shiroikuro's version better than amu's (I'm sorry amu~~~). It's like Shiroikuro is just a master for rock songs. He did the screamo parts amazingly. I love you Shiroikuro~
5. 銃爪 (早井音そ～ま)
So~ma may sound energetic and playful in his 焰~The sky is the limit but not here. He sounds cool and serious, and also mysterious--just like the song itself. His beginning just like JoNYH's with breathy and whispery singings. But in the part where JoNYH put some words in whispers, So~ma add some rap. What can we ask for more?
6. le ciel (A-M-U)
Am I dreaming? amu singing my favorite song? Can't disagree if you say amu's voice sounds a bit like Riseha's in the beginning. He sounds so young here somehow. I love when he sings the high parts--his voice can reach them and doesn't sound like it's being forced to. I think I can listen to this song of his cover all day long, together with Riseha's. This song is just so lovely.
Summary : I can say this album is just complete. You can find main genres of songs (like pop and rock) here, and also you'll listen various of amazing voices that differ from each other.
Thank you for reading my personally reviews~ Anyway, there's still a song of the day thou; it's not really new but it reached a top rank in VOCALOID songs for August 2011, go GUMI, Tama-sama, 40mP!
